hey Mathis they will send you a download link as soon as the payment was done,. and you can download the guide on your PC put in on a dvd and start installing linux from it, its everything in it. i tried it myself for my ps3. worked great. im very pleased. and its faster this way, cause if they had to send the dvd it will take a while for you to recieve it, this way you will get it instantly and you will have linux running on your PS3 in no time.

Is it possible for the linux on the ps3 to run games which requires some high performance? Like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft etc?

of course it will i mean i dont have any problems. i play call of duty on my ps3 with linux install , you cana lso install windows over the linux you will have a super pc. think about it, your avarage pc runes with 2 CPU. and your PS3 has 8! thats right 8 CPU’s. do the math
Well I\’ve been searching all day, and I saw a lot of comments which was telling me that the linux did only have acces to one single core. If that would be the case, it would run really slow. But your saying it can run high performance pc games with no problems?:) Just saw a great opportunity to quit my old laptop, and do the games on the ps3, and as your telling me, the ps3 runs like a superpc?
sure it does, i am using linux on ps3 and im playing the games quite good
everyone who you ask will tell you that ps3 is a monster computer with linux on it.

if you try to install a normal linxu like fedora or ubuntu that wont be very good since those distributions are not developed for PS3 but if you take this PS3MAgic, you can install easy yellow Dog on your PS3 and this distribution is made for ps3 so you will ahve some great performance. thats right you read right some linux distributions tested a while ago gave back a bad result on performance, but yellow dog is lounched and this is another story, so Ps3 magic will help you throw installation of YD and you will run your shiny Ps3 console like a monster PC

Hello there. I heard a lot about that the computer OS you’ll install on the Ps3 wont get full command of the power. I also heard that it can not acces the 3D Graphic Generator, so it’ll only be able to play 2D games. Is there any hold in this?
A method has been found to reach Linux 3D Graphics on the PS3. A number of hackers have clubbed together to release a draft kernel module for this along with a relevant Xorg driver the new updated PS3 magic will help you install linux and that will put you on the good road. there area lot of information on the internet that 3d wont work in linux but it does work since the guys from yellow dog linux programed it very good recently.
hey i just got ps3 magic last week i managed to install linux very easy its a great software i highly recomand it to all of you who cant install Linux properly. i Love Linux for ps3 it just rocks

Is the kernel module only in the PS3 Magic dvd, or is it found in the Yellow Dog Linux OS?
I got a question like Qyations. Have YDL reached the 3D Graphic, and is it only on the PS3 Magic dvd? Would be awesome of the PS3 could run the newer games like crysis, Bad Company etc. Knnow if that would be possible? And what about the RAM?
